Getting to the mining town of Lens would be unthinkable on most must do lists ....mine included. However, if design, art, space and innovative approach to what Museums will need to be in the future The Louvre Lens is a MUST! I found the Grand Gallery breathtaking and combined with an audio guide that just rewrites walking about with headphones makes for a truly amazing art experience....from Goya to the famous French Revolution Delacroix...from the beginning of our civilization with artifacts never before shown by the Louvre ----- I will return to further appreciate the genius of the Japanese architect both inside and out.....right down to the use of locally mined coal into the landscaping. Fantastic!!!!
