VIMY ....LEST WE FORGET

Very few experiences will go beyond the power of coming to Vimy! Stands on Hill 145 the highest point of the 14km long Vimy. Ridge. While this long fought for Ridge was taken by the Canadian Corps aided by the British 5th Division it came with an unbearable cost of almost 4,000 Canadian lives in but a few days. Walking the trenches could only remind us....never to forgetI long ago found that Hitler had ordered that nothing was to happen to this WW1 Monument..Thank you to Elisabeth for sharing this powerful day !!!!!

  2. looks like you are having a blast, we've spent a lot of time near Vimy (Jenny's exchange host family in Hauteville) and had some fabulous butter from a farm in that little town, I read your butter comments;-)

    Bon continuation !
